About Peachtree Corners, GA
Peachtree Corners, GA may be the youngest city in Gwinnett County having been incorporated in 2012. But the vision of cityhood for the area formerly known as Pinckneyville began in the 1960s when real estate developer Paul Duke set out to establish a place where residents could live, work and play within their own community.
The reality that his vision has become may be far more than anyone might have imagined as affluent, waterfront and affordable homes in Georgia's second largest and Gwinnett County's largest city are near Metro Atlanta's original Technology Park, still home to the headquarters and regional offices of leading national and international companies in technology, life sciences, and other industries. Further, business Innovation remains in focus with Curiosity Lab, a city-owned and operated living lab and startup incubator designed to advance intelligent mobility and smart city technology. The elegant lifestyle center, the Forum on Peachtree, serves as home to several high-end offices and retailers including Gwinnett County's only Trader Joe's. It is also home to The Harlem Globe Trotters and Lifetime Athletic & Tennis, a USTA Regional Tennis Center (one of only six in the US).
The Forum Peachtree Parkway
Approximately 43,000 residents who pay no Ad Valorem Taxes are thrilled with the opening of Peachtree Corners Town Center in 2019, a 21-acre dining and shopping destination that includes two well-manicured acres with two open-air pavilions, a performance stage, large screen TVs, café tables and children's play area that serve as a venue to popular free concerts, movies, games with play areas, seating and more, all visible from new eateries and shops nearby. Add in the stunning scenery of nearby parks like Simpsonwood, Medlock Bridge, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, and others that contributed to the city's certified green designation by the Atlanta Regional Commission for efforts at recycling, land use, and preservation and it is easy to understand why the 17 square miles that make up the "City by the River" are also "Innovative and Remarkable."
